Claims Content Estimator (Work from home) - Contract (Peterborough, Barrie, Sudbury, Owen Sound)
Are you a professional shopper? In this exciting work from home position you will be responsible for evaluating items that have been listed as non-salvageable, damaged, or lost in an insurance claim. We have immediate openings for estimators to assist in the claims handling process and content evaluation. This position is truly unique and a great way to break in to a new industry. If you know make up and clothing as well as you know tools and electronics then this is the job for you.
  • Communicate with clients and/or adjuster regarding claim information.
  • Prepare documents and manage files from start to finish.
  • Confirmation with vendors to confirm pricing.
  • Conduct research on appropriate vendors.
  • Prepare reports using our proprietary software ClaimsLogic.
  • Primarily work from home, with occasional requirement to attend a loss site   to view affected contents, prepare detailed inventory listing for assessment.
  • Investigate property claims in a timely and respectful manner through communication with the customer, appraisers, adjusters and any other related parties.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills and above average typing speed.
  • High speed internet connection and computer.
  • Strong customer-service focus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to deal with changing priorities.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle an asset.
  • Occasional travel to loss site may be required  (up to 25%)
