IT Specialist - Solution Designer

 
Here's a great permanent opportunity, located in Toronto (with flexibility to work from home). The IT Specialist - Solution Designer will be engaged in a financial institution's ongoing efforts to improve critical application availability, by instituting operational changes to provide guidance and direction to the development teams on how applications should be built in order to increase availability, reduce recovery times, and allow Operations to effectively and efficiently manage production operations.

The successful applicant will have:

> Significant development experience in J2EE on AIX/Linux, Oracle/DB2, WAS, scripting
> Strong enterprise-level institutional knowledge
> Solid understanding of the enterprise infrastructure, system interdependencies, standards, etc.
