On behalf our client we are seeking an IT consultant.
Information Technology Consulting Professionals

Job Description
Professional consultants in the IT Operational Efficiency and Resiliency areas assist clients to maximize the ability of their IT environment to effectively support business strategies and operations. They actively participate in, or lead, significant and often complex optimization and infrastructure design engagements that involve multiple aspects of information technology and associated services. Typically, these professionals will provide consulting services to IT Managers, IT Directors, VP's and SVP, as well as to C level executives.

In addition to client engagement work these consultants provide extensive guidance and mentoring to less experienced consulting professionals. They are also regularly sought out by IGS management and other client business groups for advice and counsel regarding IT environment assessment, design, deployment and operations.

Environment:
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate effectiveness in many, but necessarily all, of the following areas: assessing IT infrastructure environments to identify root cause issues and corrective actions; employing a broad knowledge and experience in the use of information technology, its alignment to business needs and IT industry trends; understanding and designing IT process models, particularly ITIL, (CobiT desirable); developing IT Services frameworks and related Service delivery processes (including building a Services Portfolio, and Service Level Agreements); describing and assessing the use of Autonomic capabilities (e.g. Event Management and Policy based decision making); designing and deploying Systems Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Capacity, Configuration management); defining and deploying both Business and IT Continuity strategies; developing Risk Assessment and Mitigation Strategies, including performing formal Business Impact Analysis activities; understanding client's external business environment, including competitive awareness, the primary areas of consulting risk, as well as the concerns and issues of client's customers; communicating complex messages orally and in writing to technologists, managers and executives; providing complex sales support and engagement management activities; using project planning and management techniques; and, guiding other professionals and acts as a mentor to lower-level professionals.

Working Environment

Normal/flexible office conditions with flexibility to work at home as appropriate. Some travel and the potential for irregular work hours.

Formal Qualifications
University graduate, preferably in computer engineering or related subject.
Certified Consultant or Architect (certification process underway would be considered)
