S.i. Systems is assisting our client in seeking the services of a
Junior to Intermediate technical writer. Our client is a leading
technology company that that designs, develops and delivers innovative
solutions for regulated industries. This role is work-from-home based
thus location will not be a barrier! Responsibilities include: - Writes, edits, and revises documentation for internal and external corporate use. - Producing software and hardware documentation, training materials, user manuals and online help, and internal documentation such as SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), Controlled Forms (CFs), etc. - Establishes and complies with SSD guidelines, standards and templates. - Edits, standardizes, or revises materials working closely with other writers or personnel. - Prepares layout of material for publication. - Prepares rough drafts of documents for review with appropriate teams. - Researches software changes by working with Development, Customer Support, and Technical Support. - Performs any other assigned tasks related to writing and documenting. Education and Experience Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree or diploma. · Practical experience in writing technical documentation. · An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. · Demonstrates strong organizational skills. · Language – Creative and knowledgeable about the structure and content of the English language including rules of composition, grammar, and demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Active Listener and Learner – Good listener and questioner; thinks and understands quickly. · Information Gathering - Knows how to find and identify essential information. · Information Organization & Presentation – Proficient in structuring and classifying multiple pieces of information. · Should be technically savvy and proficient in use of a computer. |
