We are seeking an IT Specialist for a part-time contract position at our Toronto office with ability to work from home.

 

Office Location: 388 Roncesvalles Ave, Suite 200, Toronto, ON, M6R 2M9

 

Major Responsibility:   The IT Specialist position is responsible for the effective day to day

management of the servicing commitment established between Banyan and Banyan’s customers.

 

Position Description: The successful candidate will assist Banyan’s IT Director in the delivery of IT-related projects.

 

Basic Skill Requirements:                   

 

·         Solid oral and communication skills

·         Experience in programming with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, JQuery

·         Experience in programming with Microsoft .NET / Visual Studio / C#

·         SQL Server Database Administration experience (2008), SQL database design, enhancement, implementation or intersystem data transfer

·         Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure environments (Windows Server / Active Directory / Exchange / etc.)

·         Backup/disaster recovery best-practice experience and understanding

·         CMS Experience with Wordpress and Joomla

·         Conscientiousness and motivated

·         Self oriented and able to handle diverse personalities.

·         Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances and new ways of working.

·         Work well under pressure and an ability to meet firm deadlines.

·         Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task.

·         Problem solving skills.

·         Attention to detail – accurate data entry and keyboarding.

·         Work independently with minimal supervision and cooperatively with other members of staff.

·         Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
