WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're seeking to build a long-term relationship with a roster of travel bloggers who are available to travel regularly throughout our region and post about the great travel experiences available.
SCHEDULE:
Initially, we only need one post from you per week.
• Responsible for stylish writing and frequently posting new content online.
• Demonstrate the ability to write professionally and consistently meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with key words and meta tags is preferred.
• The right candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and prior blogging/travel writing experience.
• Prior experience in journalism or marketing communications is preferred.
• Knack for recognizing "social media friendly" topics
• "Blogger's level" understanding of WordPress - enough to navigate your way around the WP admin panel, upload photos, etc.
• Ability to research and source your own content - you will review new topics with the editor each week before posting
• Ability to take (or source) your own photos - photography quality and content must be consistent with that currently found on the centralcounties.ca website.
• A proven ability to produce travel video blogs would be an asset, although not required.
• Timeliness - you must be able to consistently meet your deadline each week, without exception
Dependent on the length of the article. Most articles will be in the 500-750 word range. All bloggers are paid monthly by cheque at the end of each month. Our payscale is on par with other industry blogs and bloggers.
