Phone support specialists provide technical assistance, support, and advice to customers. You interpret problems and provide technical support for hardware, software, and systems. You will answer telephone calls and Emails, analyze problems by using automated diagnostic programs, and resolve recurring difficulties.
FAQ'S
How quickly can I start working? If you successfully pass the pre-interview screening, you will be invited to complete a Voice Audition so we can learn a bit more about you. If we feel that you meet the qualities of a successful phone agent your training will start immediately.
How can I work from Home?As long as you have access to high speed internet and a working computer we simply send the tech support phone calls over the internet to your home. This technology is called Voice over IP. When a client calls our tech support number it is sent to our head office via traditional phone lines. Then we convert it to digital and send it via the internet to your Voip ATA adapter. You would simply pick up the phone as normal and assist the client with there problems.
Do you pay for the training?Yes. You will be paid for trianning
What is the process for sending/receiving pay?We pay all employees via direct deposit into their bank accounts
"Would I be doing telemarketing (calling people to sell them things)? We do not do any outbound telemarketing.
What kind of support will I have while I am working? What if I have questions?Even though you will be working from the comfort and quiet of your home, you will have the support of your program team. We always have team leaders, coaches or support agents, particularly knowledgeable about your program available to you in secure chat rooms, as well as by phone. Similarly, we provide round-the-clock technical support in the event that you have any problems with any of our telephone or computer systems.
Are there an average number of calls I would be required to take during each hour I work?In order to operate as efficiently as possible for our clients, you probably will receive calls in a fairly steady stream during each work shift. The ability to handle those calls with the appropriate balance of good customer service and efficient resolution will be one of the things we will train you to do well.
Do you provide me with a computer? No, we ask that you already have a PC with the Windows operating system.
How will I be trained? All of your training will be done online or over the phone similar to online college courses. The training will be either self-paced/independent or lead by a trainer (or a combination of both).
Do I need to leave my home for training? No - you will complete all training from the comfort of your home.
Will I be required to take a test after training? You will be tested at various points of your training to ensure your ultimate success once you commence taking calls.
What hours are you recruiting for?We are currently looking for 3 shifts. 9AM-5PM5PM-12AM12AM-9AMAll of these shifts are based on Eastern Standard time in Canada.
If I became an employee of your company, would I have to work at fixed times, or could I work whatever hours I want? After publishing that schedule to you, we will expect you to work that schedule unless there is an emergency or illness that prevents you from working.
How many hours do you require agents to work? These are full time positions and you will be required to work 40 hours per week.
Will I have the same schedule every week?Yes, we intend to give the same schedule every week, but sometimes in emergencies you will be requested to work different shifts.
